yes our school system is not ment for free thinkers and turns us into regurgitating idiots.

I hated school from the very beginning; they made me wear a dress, and not pants like my three older brothers! I was so angry with that, and it never left me; first time a boy with a mirror on his shoe came near me I stomped him into the ground! (grin) That went on until I was 13 then I left school; I learned more out of school then I ever did in that box factory! (smile)

I learned to compete with my peers to drop what I’m doing at the sound of the bell & shuffle off to my next prison cell to stop thinking & just memorize & repeat what I’m told by authority figures to cheat without getting caught to lie to fight to fear & hate lust & loathe I learned a lot but the snippets of history about the Cabots Cooks & other pablum was a waste of time

As you said, it could be done in a year

Where was Philosophy & comparative religion to counter the gullible superstitious

School is a modern experiment that doesn’t work. Many traditional cultures produced 1000’s of years of cohesive, sustainable, fulfilling, equitable lifestyles. Not all have been perfect, but some very nearly. Children, and adults, require a society that fulfills our natures, satifies our basic and spiritual and developmental needs, and is based in health, respect and mutual care and love for each other and the planet. Then we are learning machines, it’s easy and we love it. No prisons, no schools.

only reason why i go is because I have to -_-’

Study to pass the GED. You can get into college with that.

Look up the list of famous college graduates, like the late Peter Jennings, Danica Patrick… People become good at something because they do it every day, and when you’re good at something, no one cares where you went to school.

I had a professor that said college only proves that you know how to play the game.

  9. Leq001 Says:

U didnt graduate and this means THEY will not see u fit for work or an independant life. Too bad, there’s no way out of this unless you bluff that you have a diploma!

  10. TonicLoving Says:

False . A self educated man can go just as far in life as one with a glamorous degree from some conformist institution… People have been taught that they wont succeed in life unless they do this or that and rely on the system to vindicate themselves. As long as you have the proper drive and vision to what yo want in life , you can do anything a college grad can do, often times better than a zombified sheep thats been processed through that system

School felt like a prison to me , I couldnt wait to get home. My wonderful parents let me skip the last 2 years and just take the GED test.

To bad you didn’t enjoy school. If it’s actually true (and I don’t believe it was but I’ll have to take your word for it) that you had no other choice but to “parrot” back what was being tought to you, then you have a right to your suspicians about our education system. But, as an educator with some experience teaching different types of learners I can say that there are many students (including myself) who truly enjoyed school. In fact, I loved it so much I wanted to dedicate my life to it.
